Swahili Mass – July 6
St. Ann celebrates Mass in Swahili on the 1st Sunday of each month. Please join us for this joyful celebration of Mass on July 6th at 9:00 AM. The Swahili choir also provides music for the Saturday Mass that weekend. If you would like to join the offertory procession on Sunday, you are invited to bring items such as paper towels, water bottles and snacks for the parish house, or kleenex and hand sanitizer for the church.

To the Parish Community,
The Costero-Umbria family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make our wedding a beautiful reality on May 3rd. Whether through planning, decorating, or simply by being present on our special day, your support meant the world to us. You are a true reflection of Christ’s love in action.
Many thanks!
Thank you from Sonia & Family
Dear St. Ann’s Family,
I am truly grateful for the wonderful surprise party you organized to celebrate my graduation. Your thoughtfulness, generosity, and overwhelming love have deeply touched my family and me.
Your presence, kind words, gifts, and heartfelt congratulations have filled my heart with joy and renewed my spirit. I feel honored and blessed to be a part of such a compassionate and supportive family at St. Ann.
May God’s grace abound in your lives, for His grace is indeed sufficient!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Sonia and the Somwe family.
Summer Party – Date TBA
Every summer the St. Ann community comes together for a summer party, usually on a weeknight around the Feast of St. Ann on July 26th. We haven’t set the date for this year’s party yet but hope to do so soon – so keep an eye out for that announcement in the bulletin. If you’re interested in helping with this event, please let Susan L. know or call Elizabeth in the parish office.
Creation Care Corner
In his still-early papacy, Pope Leo has referenced Laudato Si’ on several occasions. “It has had an extraordinary impact, inspiring countless initiatives and teaching everyone to listen to the twofold cry of the Earth and of the poor,” he said on May 25, in marking the 10-year anniversary of the document.
Earlier in May, Pope Leo encouraged participants at a Rio de Janeiro ecological gathering of 200 Catholic universities and organizations across three continents “to be builders of bridges of integration between the Americas and the Iberian Peninsula, working for ecological, social and environmental justice.”
This week, he instructed the bishops of Madagascar to make care for creation “an integral part of your prophetic mission.”
One more way to reduce microplastics in your home:
- CHOOSE NATURAL FIBERS FOR CARPETS, FURNISHINGS, AND CLOTHING: Indoor environments with heavy use of synthetic materials (like carpets, upholstered furniture, or window dressings) can have higher microplastic concentrations in their dust or surrounding air, leading to higher rates of exposure. Microfibers are constantly shed from synthetic clothing and textiles due to abrasion during wear and laundering. Alternatives for clothing and home textiles include cotton, linen, bamboo, silk, and wool; note that sometimes synthetic fibers are blended with natural fibers, so check tags carefully.
Thank you to the Creation Care Team for sharing these reflections with us.
Franciscan Corner
“Make me a channel of your peace…. Where there’s despair in life, let me bring hope…” Father Murray Bodo, ofm once wrote: “Peace is a work of justice; it does not come about by a display of superior strength or military might. In fact, it can be argued that those who “live among social outcasts, among the poor and helpless, the sick and the lepers, and those who beg by the wayside” most truly effect the cause of peace and justice by changing society at its very roots: its people. Francis of Assisi was a man of peace. He lived among the social outcasts, among the poor and helpless, the sick and the lepers and those who begged by the wayside. He was a channel of peace. Can we too be channels of peace, pilgrims of hope? As Francis told his little band of brothers and could say to us: “Let us begin, for up until now, brothers, we have done little.”
Thank you to Sr. Joanne for sharing these reflections with us.
