January 4, 2026 – Epiphany of the Lord

Swahili Mass – January 4

St. Ann celebrates Mass in Swahili on the first Sunday of each month.  Join us for our Swahili Mass at 9:00 AM on January 4th.  If you would like to join the offertory procession, items such as hand sanitizer, tissues, toilet paper, or snacks for visitors to the parish house are most helpful.

Christmas Concert Thank Yous!

Thank you to all the musicians, and to the dancers, for all their work to put on such a wonderful concert. We are so blessed at St. Ann for such diverse talent. Thank you also to everyone who attended the concert, and especially to all the volunteers and staff who helped make it happen.

Christmas Program Thank yous!

Christmas Eve at St. Ann began with a program by our youth, inspired by Los Pasadas. Thank you to our youth ministry leaders and the parent volunteers and musicians – and especially our young people – for all their work to put on such a wonderful program before Mass.

Christmas & New Year’s Wishes from Abdallah

We received a lovely Christmas message from Abdallah and his family, with photos from Bethlehem, thanking our community and wishing us a joyful season. His message is below:

Dear Saint Ann Community & Father Patrick Baraza,

Wishing to all of you a very Merry Christmas!

May this joyful season bring you happiness, peace, and warmth, and may the New Year be filled with hope, kindness, and good moments.

Thank you for the positive spirit you share. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season.

Faithfully,

Abdullah

Matthew 25 Ministry

The Matthew 25 Ministry will meet after Mass on January 4th in the parish house. This meeting is outside of the usual 2nd and 4th Sunday schedule, to continue work on some ongoing projects.

St. Ann will celebrate Fatima’s Quinceanera along with her family at the 3:00 PM Mass on Saturday, January 10th. Join us as we celebrate this young woman who grew up in our parish!

2nd Collection – January 10 & 11

Our 2nd collection to help those in need in our parish and our neighborhood takes place on the 2nd weekend of the month. Thank you for your past generosity which has allowed us to help our parishioners and neighbors in need.

Community Wine Tasting – January 17

Due to preparations for the St. Ann Christmas Concert, we will not have a wine tasting on December 20th.  Our next Community Wine Tasting will be on January 17th. This is a great chance to get to know other parishioners. Bring a snack to share or just bring yourself!

Annual Catholic Appeal

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal so far. As of December 18th, we have raised $35,360.00 which is 89.17% of our goal of $39,653.00.   If you would like to make a donation to help St. Ann reach our goal, there are donation envelopes next to the bulletins and a link to the online giving page on our website:  https://stannsspokane.org/giving/

Creation Care Corner

“There is no room for indifference or resignation…”  Pope Leo XIV, speaking at an international conference celebrating the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’.

The slate of offerings at the Gonzaga Climate Institute for Spring is so rich we thought you might want to save a copy of it.  All of these are offered both in person and online.  If you register and can’t make it, you will be provided with a link to view that particular presentation online.  Attendance at these events inspire us to continue the work of caring for creation in our everyday lives.
