May 3, 2026 –  5th Sunday of Easter

Swahili Mass – May 3

St. Ann celebrates Mass in Swahili on the first Sunday of each month at our 9:00 AM Mass.  Join us for this joyful celebration of Mass on May 3rd – all are welcome! If you would like to be a part of the dancing offertory procession, you are invited to bring items such as paper towels, tissues and hand sanitizer for the church, or snacks and bottled water to share with visitors to the parish house.

St. Bakhita Community Meeting – May 3

After the Swahili Mass on Sunday, May 3, there will be a meeting of the St. Bakhita Community in the church.

Collection for the Catholic church of the United States – May 2-3

The Collection for the Catholic church in the United States provides a way to build up the Church in rural and isolated regions of our country. This one collection takes the paces of six that would otherwise be held at various times throughout the year. Through the Catholic Home Missions and the Black and Native American Missions, our own diocese has benefited from this support.

The Collection for the Catholic Church in the United States begins May 2-3, 2026. Please use the envelopes that you received in the mail or one of the envelopes found in the entry of the church to make your contribution to the Catholic Church in the United States. You can also donate online at: dioceseofspokane.org/ccus   Thank you.

Matthew 25 Ministry meeting – May 9

The Matthew 25 Ministry meets after Mass on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.  However for May, there will be a change – the next Matthew 25 meeting will be on Zoom on Saturday, May 9th at 2:00 PM, instead of the meeting in person after Mass on Sunday, May 10th  Contact the parish office if you are not on the Matthew 25 email list and would like more details.

CRS Rice Bowl Donations

Thank you to the parishioners who turned in their Rice Bowl donations at Easter for the collection during Lent.  We were able to send a donation of $210.45 to Catholic Relief Services to support their work to fight hunger and poverty in more than 100 countries.

Creation Care Corner

Caring for our Aquifer and River

Did you know that the hazardous materials we use in our homes and yards can end up in our drinking water, our lakes, and in the Spokane River?  Our above ground practices affect our land, air, and water.  Most people don’t realize that a large amount of water going into storm drains receives no treatment.

  • Know what’s in the products you buy.
  • Follow the manufacturers’ directions
  • Request the least toxic products available.
  • Safely store hazardous products in their own containers, off the ground, securely in a tray, away from a well or body of water.
  • Buy only what you need.

Information comes from the Spokane Aquifer Joint Board

For questions about putting your waste in the right place go to: www.SpokaneWasteDirectory.org

Thank you to the Creation Care Team for sharing with us!
