June 8, 2025 – Pentecost

Congratulations to St. Ann Graduates!

We have a number of college, high school, and middle school graduates at St. Ann this year.  We invite those graduates to join us at the end of one of this weekend’s Masses for a special blessing, so we can congratulate them on their accomplishments.  Please email or call the office to let us know if you or a family member are graduating so we know how many graduates we are celebrating!

Pentecost – June 8

As we celebrate Pentecost this weekend, we invite you to wear red to Mass!

O God, help us to use your gifts

to make the world a better place –

more filled with your presence,

more in keeping with your desires,

and more aligned with your will.

Send your Holy Spirit upon us now

so that we can recognize the gifts you have given,

more eagerly make them our own,

and more willingly share them with others.

2nd Collection

It’s the 2nd Sunday of the month, which means it’s time for our 2nd collection to help those in need in our parish and our neighborhood.  Thank you in advance for your generosity that allows us to help our neighbors, who are very appreciative.

Reminder about Scheduling Meetings

The parish staff would like to remind members of our various ministries and committees at St. Ann to please contact the office to schedule meeting times in the house, the church and parish hall. This allows us to ensure that the space your group would like to use is available, as well as to arrange for a staff member to open up the meeting space for your group in a timely manner, as needed.  We appreciate your understanding and collaboration as we work to balance safety with accommodating the community use of the house, church and hall for all of the wonderful work each ministry is doing for St. Ann.

Security Gates

If you were at Mass last weekend, you probably noticed the new coded locks on the security gates at the front and back of the church. The locks were added to make the grounds more secure, especially at night.  The gates will be open during office hours , during Mass and for parish events, but please contact a staff member if you need help with access to the grounds at other times.

Concrete Project

Thank you to all those who have donated to our project  to fix the front porch steps of the church!  We are nearly to our goal and have contacted the concrete contractor, who is scheduled a few weeks out. If you would like to donate to help get us to our goal so we can get scheduled to start, we have a donation basket at the front of the church or you can contact Dianne at (509) 710-0638 or the parish office at 509 535-3031

Franciscan Corner

“Make me a channel of your peace… where there’s despair in life let me bring hope….”  Did you know that St Francis wrote a letter to “The Rulers of the People”? It was brought to Spain by Bl John Parenti, first Minister General after St Francis. It is a short letter that wishes them good health and peace. Peace again. “Pace e Bene!” Peace and all good. He wishes them peace and that they be peacemakers. Let us also wish leaders of all countries peace and pray that they be peace-makers. We can make known our desire for peace in the United States and around the world. Let us be pilgrims of hope by advocating for peace.

Thank you Sr. Joanne for sharing these reflections with us!
