Creation Care Corner

“…the life of the Spirit is not dissociated from the body or from nature or from the worldly realities, but lived in and with them, in communion with all that surrounds us.”  –  Pope Francis, Laudato Si’ (216)

SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT STRATEGY

As stewards of the earth who care about people and the planet, you probably already act in your daily life to care for creation — you recycle, bring your reusable bags to the store, and may sometimes ride your bike instead of driving.

For Sustainable Investment Strategy, work with your financial manager to choose mutual funds that exclude companies which are in fossil fuels, nuclear energy, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and military and conventional weapons.  Make sure the companies that you invest in are moving to become more environmentally responsible by adopting new corporate policies to source renewable energy, reduce plastic waste, and protect biodiversity.

A sustainable investment strategy that incorporates environmental, social and governance criteria may result in lower or higher returns than an investment strategy that does not include such criteria.

Thank you to the Creation Care Team for sharing with us!

Restroom Usage During Mass

If you need to use a restroom during Mass, there is a key to the parish hall by the front entry doors to the church. Please lock the door to the hall behind you and return the key to the church. For Safety, all children should be accompanied by an adult!
