Memorial Day – May 25
The office will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial day. Also, a reminder as summer approaches that the office hours may vary due to vacation time or meetings, so please call or email to schedule a time if you need to come into the office. Thank you for your understanding.
Special Request from the Parish Office
Please remember to contact the parish office if you need to schedule meetings in the parish house or to use the parish hall, in order to make sure the spaces are available and your meeting or event is on the calendar. It is wonderful that we have a lot of active ministries at St. Ann, but many meet on Sundays after Mass, and there is limited space to meet in the parish house.
Also, if you bring coffee cups over from the hall to a meeting in the parish house, please return them to the parish hall – otherwise parish staff and hospitality volunteers end up with dozens of cups to return to the hall every few weeks.
Thank you!
Matthew 25 Ministry
The Matthew 25 Ministry meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month – one meeting is on Zoom and the other in person. Matthew 25 is meeting after Mass this Sunday, May 24, in the parish house. If you are interested in learning more about this ministry, you are welcome to join.
Peter & Naomi’s Wedding
St. Ann parishioners Peter and Naomi will be married at St. Ann on Saturday May 30th. Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare to celebrate the sacrament of marriage.
Swahili Mass – Sunday, June 7
St. Ann celebrates Mass in Swahili on the first Sunday of each month at the 9:00 AM Mass. Join us for this joyful celebration of Mass! Beginning in June, the Swahili choir will no longer be providing the music at the Saturday 4:00 PM Mass due to the challenge of assembling a full choir on Saturdays. If you would like to join the offertory procession, you are invited to donate items such as paper towels, or water bottles and snacks (like crackers or cookies) for visitors to the house.
Father Patrick’s trip to Kenya – June 2025
Here is a link to a slideshow of photos from Father Patrick’s trip to Kenya last June, including photos from a safari and a celebration with the pokot people of Father Patrick’s first parish! Enjoy!

“…a healthy ecology is (also) the result of interaction between human beings and the environment, as occurs in the indigenous cultures and has occurred for centuries in different regions of the earth…without destroying it or endangering it.” Laudate Deum (27)
Caring for our Aquifer and River
In order to keep our Aquifer and river safe from unwanted chemicals, we must be very careful in how to dispose of our Lawn and Garden waste. These items are Household Hazardous Waste and must be taken to a transfer station to be disposed:
*Fertilizers and Fungicides.
*Herbicides, Moss and Weed Killer
*Pesticides and Insecticides
*Rock Salt and Deicer
These items should be double-bagged and place in your garbage:
*pet waste
*packing pellets
*vacuum dust
*sawdust
*cold ashes
For questions about putting your waste in the right place go to: www.SpokaneWasteDirectory.org
Thank you to the Creation Care Team for sharing with us!
