Happy Mother’s Day!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the St. Ann mothers and mother-figures who bless our lives.
A PRAYER FOR MOTHERS
All-loving God, we give you thanks and praise for mothers young and old.
We pray for young mothers, who give life and count toes and tend to our every need; May they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy.
We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us; May they continue to guide in strong and gentle ways.
We remember mothers who are separated from their children because of war, poverty or conflict; May they feel the loving embrace of our God who wipes every tear away.
We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.
We remember mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love.
Amen
Congratulations!
Please join us in congratulating the family of the child who will be baptized on Sunday. We look forward to welcoming this new member to the St. Ann community!
Funeral for Kerry – May 16
The Funeral Mass for Kerry M is on Saturday, May 16 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann. The Rosary will be at St. Ann at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 15. The Funeral Mass will be followed by a reception in the parish hall. Our hospitality ministry is in need of a few more parishioners to help set up and serve at the reception. Those who would like to contribute a dessert for the reception are asked to bring a plate of bite sized desserts, like cookies or pastries, that can be served easily as finger food.
Matthew 25 Ministry meeting – May 9
The Matthew 25 Ministry meets after Mass on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. However for May, there will be a change – the next Matthew 25 meeting will be on Zoom on Saturday, May 9th at 2:00 PM, instead of the meeting in person after Mass on Sunday, May 10th Contact the parish office if you are not on the Matthew 25 email list and would like more details.
Lawn & Garden Care – Volunteers Needed
Dignified Workday has begun providing lawn and garden care for the St. Ann grounds every other week, and the grounds look great. But we will need one or two volunteers to mow the lawn the other weeks during the Summer, and gardeners to care for the gardens as needed. Contact Dianne or Elizabeth if you are interested in volunteering.
CRS Rice Bowl Donations
Thank you to the parishioners who turned in their Rice Bowl donations at Easter for the collection during Lent. We were able to send a donation of $210.45 to Catholic Relief Services to support their work to fight hunger and poverty in more than 100 countries. If you would still like to make a donation, you can donate online here.

General Water Saving Tips
- Teach children to turn off faucets tightly after use.
- Install water-saving devices such as aerators and low volume shower heads, toilets, and washers.
- Monitor your bill. If unusually high, you may have a leak somewhere.
- Know where your master water shut-off valve is located. If a pipe bursts, this could save water and prevent damage
- Check all hoses, connections, and faucets regularly. If needed, fix them right away.
- Use a commercial car wash that recycles water. Or, use a hose nozzle and wash your car on the lawn, then you’ll water the lawn at the same time.
- Wash your pets outdoors in an area of your lawn that needs water.
- When cleaning out fish tanks, give the nutrient-rich water to your non-edible plants.
- Use a broom instead of a hose to clean your patios, sidewalks, and driveways.
