May 17, 2026 – The Ascension of the Lord

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Kasey and Sahan who celebrated the baptism of their child last  Sunday at Mass.  We welcome this new member to the St. Ann community with great joy!

 Funeral for Kerry M. – May 16

The Funeral Mass for Kerry M. is on Saturday, May 16 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann. The Rosary will be at St. Ann at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 15.  The Funeral Mass will be followed by a reception in the parish hall. Our hospitality ministry is in need of a few more parishioners to help set up and serve at the reception.  Those who would like to contribute a dessert are asked to bring a plate of bite sized desserts, like cookies or brownies, that can be served easily as finger food.

Community Wine Tasting – May 16

The community wine tasting returns this Saturday, May 16th!  Join us after the 4:00 PM Mass on Saturday over in the parish hall for wine tasting with Dianne. This is a fun way to get to know other parishioners, and there are non-alcoholic beverages available for those who don’t drink wine but would like to visit.  Bring a snack to share, or just bring yourself.

Father Patrick’s trip to Kenya – June 2025

As promised, here is a link to a slideshow of photos from Father Patrick’s trip to Kenya last June, including photos from a safari and a celebration with the pokot people of Father Patrick’s first parish!  Enjoy!

Craig’s Discussion Group

Lawn & Garden Care – Volunteers Needed

Dignified Workday will be providing lawn and garden care every other week, so we will need volunteers to mow the lawn in between through the summer and for garden care as needed. Contact Dianne if you are interested in volunteering.

Creation Care Corner

“Citizens need to take an active role in political decision-making at national, regional and local levels.”  Pope Leo, speaking at the 10th celebration of the publication of Laudato Si’.

Lawn and Garden Water saving Tips

  •  Plant less lawn or remove some or all of it. Replace with mulch, trees, shrubs, groundcovers, or perennials.
  •  Choose plants and groundcovers that require less water.
  •  Place a 2″-4′ layer of mulch around plants and trees.
  •  Adjust the lawn mower to the height of 2.5 to 3″.  Taller grass shades roots and holds soil moisture.
  • Leave clippings on the grass. This cools the ground and holds in moisture.
  • Apply the minimum amount of fertilizer.  Fertilizers promote plant growth and increase water consumption.
  • Aerate your lawn periodically.  Holes every six inches will allow water to reach the roots, rather than run off the surface.
  • Water in the morning or evening so less water evaporates.
