Season of Creation: September 1 – October 4
We are celebrating the Season of Creation in the parish beginning the first weekend of September. You can read about the Harvest Table in this week’s Creation Care Corner. Other events are planned for the Season of Creation and are listed in the Calendar on the parish website and in the Upcoming Parish Events and Important Dates listed below. Thank you to our Creation Care Team for all their work to make this a special season for our community.
Swahili Mass – September 6
St. Ann celebrates Mass in Swahili on the first Sunday of each month. Join us on Sunday, September 6th for this joyful celebration of Mass.
If you would like to contribute to the offertory procession, consider items such as hand sanitizer, coffee creamer, and snacks for visitors to the parish house .
Wildfire Relief Special Collection – Thank you!
Thank you to all those who donated to our special collection on August 8 & 9 for Fire Relief for the Spokane Fires. We collected $445 and were able to send a check to the Catholic Charities Wildfire Relief fund to support their efforts. Thank you for your generosity.
Annual Catholic Appeal – “A Heart that Never Fails” – September 5 & 6

Our parish is joining the diocese in this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal, which begins on September 5th & 6th. This year’s theme for the ACA is “A Heart that Never Fails.” Your gift to the Appeal helps support Catholic schools, seminary formation, evangelization for our youth, and the Inland Catholic newspaper and Flocknote. Please prayerfully consider your gift this year.
The Bishop’s ACA letter along with donation envelopes will be mailed out to parishioners next week and the ACA collection will begin the first weekend of September. There will also be envelopes available in the entry of the church. Thank you for your generosity!

Come and be filled
We sing these words at Eucharist when we gather together: “Come and be filled, here at this table. Food for all who hunger and drink for all who thirst.” The story of Jesus feeding the multitudes comes alive in all of the four gospels.
Jesus sat at table with his friends Martha, Mary and Lazarus. He shared a meal with his disciples just before he died during which he told them, “do this in remembrance of me”. Eucharist means to give thanks. Observing Sabbath is one big ‘thank you after all’ for our existence, our bodies, our time on earth and our energy and health for good works. We Catholics come together on the weekend for Mass where we are fed with the precious body and blood of Christ. We are also fed by hearing the Word of God proclaimed and being in community with one another. We are called to go forth and do likewise. Being fed and feeding others is in our DNA as Catholics. Some of us feed others by being teachers, some by volunteering at a food bank. Some assist in whatever way they can, as in the recent disastrous fires in Spokane; some write checks that will help feed the hungry. Some of us enjoy the company of others in their homes to share a meal. There are so many ways to experience “Eucharist”.
During the Season of Creation (September 1 – October 4) we will have the opportunity to share and to receive food in a new way…at our Harvest Table. Bring from your abundance. Take what you may enjoy with your family.
The Harvest Table Weekend Masses, Sept. 1 – Oct. 4
4:00 Mass. Place food items on the table in the vestibule of the church.
9:00 Mass. Place food items on the table in the NE corner of the Parish Hall
Thank you to the Creation Care Team for sharing with us!

Youth Safety Reminder – Message from Parish Staff
Father Patrick and the Parish staff are concerned about children’s safety at St. Ann. We ask parents and guardians to ensure that an adult accompanies children to the restroom in the hall during Mass. Adults are also encouraged to supervise children playing on church grounds after Mass and during events to prevent accidents. Please note that the church and parish house are not designated play areas, and eating is permitted only in the hall or outside. Donuts should be enjoyed in these areas, not inside the church. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment and for respecting our sacred spaces.
Restroom Usage During Mass
The restroom key has been moved to the west side door of the church for easier access. To ensure children’s safety, adults must accompany all children to the restroom in the parish hall during Mass. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!
