St. Ann Summer Party Postponed
The air quality in Spokane is very unhealthy, and the Spokane Regional Clean Air forecast is “the air quality will worsen in the next few days.” After consultation between Fr. Patrick, staff, members of the Parish Council and Hospitality Ministry, we’ve decided to postpone our Summer Party for at least one week – to Wednesday, August 12th. We will reassess over the weekend and announce the new date – so stay tuned for updates via email or the St. Ann facebook page.
We’ve all been affected by the historic wildfires that have swept through Spokane. We all know families who live in the evacuated zone and are unable to return home. They are all very much in our prayers. If any St. Ann parishioners are in need of assistance due to these fires, please contact the parish office at communityofstann@gmail.com
How You Can Help Those Affected by Spokane Wildfires: Message from Diocese of Spokane
The fires may consume homes and forests, but it cannot consume faith, hope, or the love that binds a community together.
Please continue to pray for all who have lost homes, for those forced to evacuate, and for every firefighter, law enforcement officer, emergency personnel, and volunteer serving our region.
Our prayers must always become action. Faith calls us not only to pray for our neighbors but to care for them.
See flyer below for ways to help with prayer and action.

Matthew 25 Prayer Vigil – August 16
Members of the St. Ann Matthew 25 Ministry will hold a prayer vigil on Sunday, August 16, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, in front of the Thomas Foley U.S. Courthouse on Riverside. This event offers an opportunity to unite in prayer for refugees and immigrants in detention. It is a prayer vigil, not a protest, so please refrain from bringing signs or flags. An informational flyer is available at the church entrance and in the virtual bulletin.

Youth Safety Reminder – Message from Parish Staff
Father Patrick and the Parish staff are concerned about children’s safety at St. Ann. We ask parents and guardians to ensure that an adult accompanies children to the restroom in the hall during Mass. Adults are also encouraged to supervise children playing on church grounds after Mass and during events to prevent accidents. Please note that the church and parish house are not designated play areas, and eating is permitted only in the hall or outside. Donuts should be enjoyed in these areas, not inside the church. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment and for respecting our sacred spaces.
Restroom Usage During Mass
The restroom key has been moved to the west side door of the church for easier access. To ensure children’s safety, adults must accompany all children to the restroom in the parish hall during Mass. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!
